My analyzer had trouble with this one, placing the correct type in 17th place. It’s a random selection from Gutenberg.org. I had to peek at the worksheet to get the type and a crib. My hillclimber did not solve it without the crib. I’m including a crib: WYCDOFOBI

  1. Since no one has indicated they have solved this one, I’ll add the type and another hint. The type is BEWAYCIZM and the crib comes at the very beginning.

  2. I finally got it after many hill-climbing runs using the crib. The correct cipher type was in second place on one ID test and in third place on two other ID tests. But even with the crib it was difficult to solve, so I couldn’t have done it without the hint.

I couldn’t find the Gutenberg publication where the plaintext occurs. Caesar-shifted synonyms for the keys are: GTFY HTSXYWZHYNTS and IWZLX.

    1. The two sentences are unrelated. As usual, if the first random sentence is too short, my program pulls out a second one to make pt of suitable length. The first sentence comes from a children’s book found here: The Tale of Jimmy Rabbit http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/24628/pg24628.txt. I couldn’t find the specific book for the second sentence, but it is probably the title of one of the authors or contributors of one of the books.
